Historic theatre with Moorish design
History
Built in 1904 and designed by the prolific colonial architect Arthur Benison Hubback, this building originally served as the Town Hall of Kuala Lumpur. Its stunning Moghul-Indian and Moorish Revival architecture, with its distinctive domes and arches, makes it a standout landmark. It is one of the oldest theatres in Malaysia and has been the stage for countless important cultural performances. Today, it is managed by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and continues to host local theatre productions.
