Little India Brickfields

Colorful hub of Indian culture
History
The name "Brickfields" comes from its past as a clay pit used for making bricks in the 19th century. Over time, it became a major settlement for Indian railway workers due to its proximity to the main railway depot. Officially gazetted as Kuala Lumpur's "Little India" in 2009, Brickfields is the vibrant, colourful centre of the city's Indian community. It's a sensory explosion of fragrant spices, shimmering silk sarees, glittering gold shops, and the sounds of Bollywood music.
