KL Bird Park

World’s largest free-flight aviary

History

One of the world's largest covered bird parks, this 20.9-acre aviary is home to over 3,000 birds from approximately 200 species.

The park is famous for its free-flight concept, where birds are allowed to fly freely in a vast enclosure that resembles their natural habitat. This allows for a much more intimate and impressive viewing experience than traditional caged exhibits.

Travel Tips

  • Feeding Times: Check the daily feeding schedules for species like hornbills, eagles, and ostriches, as these are great for photo opportunities.

  • Hornbill Restaurant: You can dine at the Hornbill Restaurant & Cafe, which has a large veranda overlooking the park where you can often spot hornbills up close.

  • Allocate Time: Plan for at least 2-3 hours to fully explore the different zones of the park
